How It Works

How BodyTite Works

BodyTite uses directional bipolar radiofrequency. It allows three-dimensional tissue remodeling for lift and tightening, and the volumetric heating creates fat coagulation to reduce fat without sagging skin. InMode explains that the heat reaches the fibrous septa and the papillary dermis, resulting in collagen contraction.

The internal electrode in the cannula has an embedded temperature sensor to monitor the tissue temperature, the external electrode on the skin monitors your skin temperature, and the system automatically adjusts its power to reach and control the target temperature.

InMode describes the procedure as RF thermal coagulation and contraction of the tissue beneath the skin that may be followed by aspiration of the liquefied fat.

What to Expect

Your BodyTite Treatment

BodyTite is an in-office procedure performed by Dr. Carlos Mata (a.k.a. Dr. Scottsdale®). The treatment zones are marked first.

Next, BodyTite is used to melt the fat and tighten the skin. The last step is the use of a small liposuction cannula to remove the melted fat. If sutures are used to close the tiny incision, they will be dissolving and do not require removal.

Because the procedure is done in-office, you can return home as soon as your treatment is complete. According to InMode, a single RFAL treatment provides natural-looking results.

What to Expect

Day of treatment
Return home as soon as your treatment is complete. Fluid may drain from the incision points for 1 to 3 days, and the dressing is changed daily.
2 to 10 days
Depending on the area treated and how many areas are treated, your downtime may vary from 2 days up to 10 days. Bruising may last 7 to 10 days or more.
