Magic Tight®
Nonsurgical Skin Tightening

Most of the time, Dr. Mata uses Magic Tight® during his Scottsdale Skinny® and strongly advises it for any Vaser Liposuction surgery. Anytime you are getting liposuction, your skin will be looser due to the major fat removal — treating skin laxity at the same time is the best way to ensure great long-term results.

For body areas like the abdomen, back, arms, and thighs, Dr. Mata uses the following process:

1. Tumescent. Also known as numbing — this saline, lidocaine, and epinephrine solution numbs the entire area of work. It ensures pain and bleeding control and helps create tunnels under the skin for the Magic Tight®.
2. Vaser Liposuction. An ultrasound energy device that breaks down fat cells, ensures smooth liposuction results, and helps partially with skin retraction. A liposuction cannula then removes the fat. This process creates tunnels under the skin allowing Magic Tight® to be more effective.
3. Magic Tight® with Renuvion (J-Plasma). This device uses cold plasma energy generated by helium and radiofrequency to target skin laxity. Placed under the skin, it tightens skin with minimal scarring. Results can be seen immediately but final results are fully seen at the 6-month post-op mark.

Concerned about skin laxity on your face or a double-chin but not ready for major surgery? Magic Tight® on your neck, chin, and jawline area can be a great solution. Often done under IV or deep sedation (patient breathing on their own), this procedure has minimal downtime: 1 to 2 days (one week with a garment).

Dr. Mata uses the same technique but chooses between two devices based on your goal and expectations:

1. Tumescent. Numbing solution for the entire area — no pain during or after surgery, and creates tunnels under the skin for the Magic Tight®.
2. Vaser. Ultrasound energy device that breaks down fat cells and ensures smooth liposuction results.
3. Magic Tight® with FaceTite or Renuvion. The most used skin-tightening device for the face by Dr. Mata is FaceTite — a controlled and uniform bipolar radiofrequency device.
