What Do Scottsdale Skinny® Scars Look Like?

The Scottsdale Skinny® procedure involves seven small incisions strategically placed in discreet areas to achieve body contouring results. They are made in the following places:
  • Under the breast crease
  • In the pubic area below the bikini line
  • Above the buttocks crease
  • Upper middle of the back (optional, on a case by case basis)

These incision sites allow Dr. Mata to perform specialized liposuction, fat transfers, and skin tightening techniques comprising the Scottsdale Skinny®. As with any surgical procedure, some scarring will occur, but undergarments and swimsuits will hide them. The scars heal well and become less noticeable over time.

Scottsdale Skinny®: Surgical Procedure

Scottsdale Skinny® is performed under deep sedation, which means that the patient is asleep, breathing on their own, and not feeling pain. The doctor injects a tumescent solution into the target areas. It includes a numbing medication and a drug that constricts blood vessels, making the procedure safe. After providing tumescent anesthesia, the doctor begins body contouring.
The main idea of Scottsdale Skinny® is to achieve a beautiful physique using only seven small incisions. These tiny openings help contour the body and leave a minimal amount of scarring afterward. It will be invisible in clothes and hard to notice when the patient is naked.
The doctor performs a comprehensive lipo 360 procedure that removes fat from the following areas:
  • Abdomen (lower, mid, and upper)
  • Bra-roll region
  • Back (lower, mid, and upper)
  • Sacrum (the area right above the buttocks)
This is done using two advanced devices: VASER® and MicroAire PAL®. They help the doctor remove unwanted tissues and achieve excellent results.
VASER® liposuction targets different body areas with ultrasonic vibrations that help break down the fat to achieve more precise, natural, and smoother results. This technique preserves the nerves and surrounding tissues. It requires less downtime than regular liposuction, allowing a more comfortable recovery. The fat from areas treated by VASER® can be transferred to other body parts to enhance contours.
Next, the doctor uses the MicroAire PAL® device for power-assisted liposuction. It includes a specialized cannula with a mechanized tip to remove fat more efficiently. The cannula moves back and forth rapidly to dislodge fat, which is then suctioned out via a vacuum machine.
The doctor highlights the patient’s abdominal muscles by removing fat in the right places. High-definition liposuction aims to create a “Pilates body” with feminine contours or a “six-pack look” emphasizing strength and fitness.
Magic Tight® is the perfect add-on to this procedure. While liposuction removes fat, it does not address skin laxity. Magic Tight® is a technique developed by Dr. Mata to tighten loose skin, contour your body, and achieve amazing results.
The safer Brazilian butt lift enhances the appearance of the buttocks by using the patient’s fat while minimizing the risks of side effects. The procedure is done in two steps.
  • First, the doctor harvests the fat through VASER® liposuction (during the initial stages). A centrifuge machine filters the collected tissue and stores it in a sterile container until it is time to transfer.
  • The second step of the BBL surgery involves injecting the purified fat into the buttocks. The patient’s safety is our priority. Therefore, Dr. Mata uses special equipment, like a bigger cannula, to place the fat above the muscle. This significantly reduces the risks of complications.

is perfect for any body type

Scottsdale Skinny® Recovery

Most patients can return to their regular routines within 1-2 weeks; however, we do not recommend exercise for at least 6 weeks after the procedure. You may feel slightly sore for the first few days, but medications can manage discomfort. Our office will provide a recovery garment and a special lipo foam to reduce swelling, bruising, and other symptoms. After your procedure, Dr. Carlos Mata will monitor your healing process and schedule additional appointments to answer any questions and provide recommendations.

Who Is a Candidate for Scottsdale Skinny®?

Like many of our popular packages, Scottsdale Skinny® is completely customizable. We prefer not to disqualify people based on BMI (body mass index). Your goals and fat distribution will determine what treatment is best for you. During your consultation, Dr. Scottsdale® will recommend the best plan of action to achieve the desired results safely.

People with certain health conditions, such as bleeding disorders and heart disease, may not be eligible for body contouring. We will discuss these aspects thoroughly during the initial appointment.
