Consultation & Scheduling your surgery

How far in advance should I book my consultation and surgery?

We recommend booking your consultation a few months prior to your ideal surgery date. If you want your consultation and surgery date faster, you may be able to prebook a surgery date with a non-refundable deposit.

Do you offer virtual consultation?

We’re offering virtual consultations. After contacting our office, you will talk to one of our Patient Care Coordinator (PCC). The PCC will give information and comprehensive knowledge about the procedure you’re interested in, including ballpark pricing, and scheduling. The consultation is done with Dr. Carlos Mata aka Dr. Scottsdale® via Skype, Zoom, Facetime, WhatsApp, Doximity, or our HIPAA-compliant app. During the 30 minutes with Dr. Scottsdale®, he will be able to answer all your questions and give you recommendations regarding your desired procedure.

What is the next step after the consultation?

After your consultation, our PCC will call you back and give you a definitive quote based on your conversation with your provider (Dr. Scottsdale® or Dr. Benjamin). Then, you can book your surgery date and start planning your trip to Scottsdale, AZ.

How long do I have to stay in Scottsdale, AZ?

The number of days necessary for you to stay in Scottsdale varies depending on the type of surgery you’re getting and where you’re traveling from.

FOR PATIENTS COMING FROM USA, CANADA, AND MEXICO:

Large surgeries:

9 nights (one night before your surgery and 8 nights after your surgery). It applies for surgeries like Mommy Makeover, Lipo 360, Scottsdale Skinny, Large or combination of multiple liposuction areas, etc.

Small surgeries:

3 nights (one night before your surgery and 2 nights after your surgery). It applies for surgeries like a Breast augmentation, Gynecomastia, Neck Liposuction, Buccal Fat Pad Removal.

Medium surgeries:

5 to 7 nights (one night before your surgery and 4 or 6 nights after your surgery). It applies for surgeries like a Tummy Tuck (no liposuction), breast lift, arm liposuction, arm lift, etc.

** This is only an estimated time, the numbers of the day required will be confirmed during your surgery scheduling.

WHAT IF I’M AN INTERNATIONAL PATIENT?

The number of days necessary will vary depending on the surgeries you’re getting, where you’re traveling from, and how long your flight back home is. Usually, for large surgeries, you will need to stay 3 weeks to one month; medium, and small surgeries 2 weeks at a minimum. ** This is only an estimated time, the numbers of the day required will be confirmed during your surgery scheduling.

Do I need to come with a caregiver?

Absolutely! It’s a must. A caregiver can be a family member, partner, friend, or even a professional (learn more down below) that can travel with you and be able to take care of you. The caregiver needs to be reliable, responsible, and able to help you during your recovery. Recovery can be challenging and having someone you can count on is important.

We do not have a recovery house but we have two options for you:

If you are flying, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is the closest major airport to our office. Located just a 30-minute car ride away, it’s the largest airports in Arizona and a hub to most major national and international airlines.

– PHOENIX-MESA GATEWAY AIRPORT
The Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport is a smaller airport, 45 minutes away from our office. It’s the hub of airline companies like Allegiant, WestJet, and Swoop
