What is Facetite?
We are excited to offer this mini-surgical, in-office skin tightening procedure that can be used on the face and the neck. Controlled and uniform bipolar radiofrequency allows us to effectively tighten loose and saggy skin on the face. The RFAL, three-dimensional technology provides immediate remodeling, contraction of the tissue, and skin tightening. The precision of the small cannula allows us to treat specific areas without damaging any surrounding structure or creating extensive scarring. The heat provided by the radiofrequency allows us to remove unwanted fat and tighten the skin in the same treatment.
Where can I use Facetite?
This skintight technology can be used on your face, you can tighten areas like your neck, chin, and jawline. This is a great option if you’re not ready for more invasive surgeries like a surgical neck-lift.
Who is a good candidate?
Anyone who is unhappy with their double chin, or jowling would receive significant aesthetic improvement. If you’re not quite ready for a traditional facelift, this skin tightening treatment will give you the closest thing to surgical results.
What to expect?
Your in-office skin tightening treatment will be about an hour-long depending on how many areas are being treated. Dr. Carlos Mata aka Dr. Scottsdale® will start by numbing with local anesthesia. A small cannula is used, similar to the size used for simple filler injections. And this bipolar radiofrequency technology will prevent any extensive scarring.
How does it work?
The small probe powered by the newest radiofrequency technology referred to as RFAL is inserted just under the lax skin. The energy delivered under the skin is heating the tissue to a precise temperature to create disruption to the fat cells and cause the skin to tighten, and the fat to melt. The controlled thermal wound created causes the body to flood the area with collagen as well. Afterward, Dr. Carlos Mata aka Dr. Scottsdale® will use a liposuction cannula to remove the melted fat.
What is the downtime?
After this skin laxity treatment, the downtime is minimal. The risk of significant bruising is far less than with a traditional facelift. You can return home immediately when your procedure is finished, and you can resume normal daily activities shortly after. It is possible to experience swelling and some bruising. Wearing a compression garment is required to ensure optimal results.
