What is BodyTite?
BodyTite is an advanced body contouring procedure with RFAL (Radiofrequency-assisted liposuction) technology. This minimally invasive lipolysis treatment not only melts fat but also causes permanent tissue retraction: skin tightening. Utilizing this advanced skin tightening machine allows the patient to achieve results without requiring extensive scarring.
What to Expect?
This is an in-office procedure. The area is numbed using local anesthesia, the same solution used for our rapid recovery breast augmentation: tumescent solution of saline, local anesthetic, and epinephrine. During this skin laxity treatment, Dr. Carlos Mata aka Dr. Scottsdale® is using a small cannula to inject the numbing solution under the skin. Afterward, BodyTite, the skin tightening technology device, will be used to melt the fat and tighten the skin. This is different than any skin tightening laser or machine because it’s using bipolar radiofrequency energy, also known as RFAL. The last step for this treatment is the use of a small liposuction cannula to remove the melted fat. Now you can get rid of the unwanted fat without the worries of sagging and lax skin afterward.
How Does it Work?
BodyTite is a unique technology that’s powered by radiofrequency-assisted liposuction. This skin tightening technology uses a directional bi-polar radiofrequency. BodyTite allows us to achieve three-dimensional tissue remodeling for lift and tightening, as well as radiofrequency assisted lipolysis (fat melting). The volumetric heating creates fat coagulation to reduce fat without sagging skin. Results can be seen immediately, with a noticeable improvement in the following 6 to 12 months.
What is the downtime?
Downtime is minimal. The procedure is done in-office, so you will be able to return home as soon as your treatment is complete. Depending on the area treated and how many areas are treated, your downtime may vary from 2 days up to 10 days. If sutures are used to close the tiny incision, they will be dissolving and do not require removal.
