Bellafill Overview
Dr. Carlos Mata, our plastic and reconstructive surgeon, considers Bellafill an outstanding treatment option for men and women (over the age of 21), who needs a facial filler, especially for the correction of the nasolabial folds. Bellafill is a non-absorbable filler, unlike other injectables whose fillers are absorbed and require multiple injections to maintain their long-term efficacy. The collagen in Bellafill provides immediate volume below facial wrinkles, lifting them to the same level as the skin, and the PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) microspheres create a supporting matrix to facilitate the production of collagen by the body. What to expect
We administer Bellafill right here in our office, and the appointment should take no less than 10 minutes – 1 hour of your time. Dr. Mata, a.k.a. Dr. Scottsdale® will provide you with a customized dosage, formulation, and injection site as this is not a one-size-fits-all type of injection. Your Bellafill injections will be tailored to meet the needs of your fine lines and wrinkles. Your skin will be marked before the ultra-fine needle is inserted into your skin. Bellafill will have immediate results once injected under your skin. You may see the results of this injection at your smile lines for up to 5 years. It will also enhance your natural collagen production near the injection site.
Recovery
The good news about Bellafill injections is that there is no need for healing time! Your results are immediate, and you can resume your normal activities after leaving our office. There may be some mild swelling or redness, but the skin will appear fuller, younger with long-lasting results.
