The surgical techniques Dr. Mata uses are tailored to suit the specific conditions of each body area the patient wants to enhance. The procedure is fully customizable to your needs and goals.

Breast. Typical concerns post-pregnancy are sagging and loose skin, along with a decrease or increase in breast volume. Depending on individual needs, options include breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift, and/or breast lift with implants. Often a combination, such as breast augmentation paired with a lift, is used to achieve a youthful, balanced appearance.

Lower Body. Common concerns include loose skin, surface irregularities like stretch marks, and stubborn fat deposits. These are normally addressed with liposuction and a no-drain tummy tuck to trim away excess skin and re-position the remaining skin. The no-drain tummy tuck allows faster recovery, reduces the risk of complications, and gives better results.

Add-on. Because every mom is different, it's common to have an add-on specifically chosen for her. One of the most common add-ons is the Brazilian Butt Lift to increase and shape the buttocks and hips.

Healthy women who do not plan to have another pregnancy and have tried their best to recuperate their post-pregnancy shape through diet and exercise, to no avail, are the best candidates for the Mommy Makeover.

The Mommy Makeover procedure can be done as soon as 6 months after being done breastfeeding. After the surgery, you will be able to have another pregnancy, but your results may be altered. For long-lasting results, pregnancy after the procedure should be avoided.

Stretch marks may be reduced when the excess skin is removed, and the tightening of skin and underlying tissues often makes these marks less noticeable. Any remaining stretch marks might become less prominent post-surgery through skin rejuvenation treatments like laser therapy and chemical peels.

While the procedure creates a beautiful new shape and figure, it does involve some scarring, most commonly associated with the breast lift and tummy tuck portions. Dr. Mata refined his scar techniques during his military training, and takes extra care to create clean incisions and minimize scarring. Scars resulting from this surgery are typically positioned so they can be easily hidden by swimsuits or underwear.
