What is a Facelift?

A facelift, also known as a rhytidectomy, is a cosmetic surgery that makes the face look more youthful. During this procedure, incisions are made near the hairline and ears to reposition and tighten the underlying skin and muscles. Excess skin is removed, and the remaining tissue is lifted. The average duration of a facelift is, depending on the extent of changes and techniques used.

Most of the time, our facelifts include a neck lift to address signs of aging in the neck area, such as excess fat, loose skin, and bands or cords in the neck muscles. During the surgery, incisions are made under the chin to tighten the muscles and remove excess tissue. This creates a smoother and more youthful neck profile.
